Bloomin' Tuesday

It's Bloomin' Tuesday in Colorado! Spring is finally showing her colors and she has a few blossoms to show off. I have a little flower garden by my front door made up of perennials and a few annuals. Toward the end of April I plant some annuals for color throughout the summer, but my favorite time for that little space is the first few weeks of spring as the perennials begin to take hold and strut their stuff. Here is a sampling of that area as it looks now. Just click on the photo to enlarge it!

Great composite. All this color makes me want to get to Denver! I started checking flights this afternoon, then I watched the news and decided I didn't need to be flying. I suppose I could drive--but then the Denver area would probably have a heavy snowstorm.

Spring sprung overnight? Looks really pretty.

Darla - Spring really did spring overnight here. We've had some unusually cool weather this spring, but last week we had temps in the 70s and -- literally -- everything took off!

Everything is looking lovely! Are we not all thankful that spring has finally decided to arrive.

And a good thing. We were getting frost in the mornings up at my sister's farm.

Brrrrr.

What is the orange and yellow one in the 6th picture? I love two color flowers.

Mia and I think alike. I love the orange and yellow one too and was wondering what kind it is. I've spent the last week planting my garden and getting my flower beds all cleaned out and ready for some flowers.

Mia and Kristen, I'm sooo bad at remember names (people or flowers). I got it at Home Depot this week -- it's a type of mum, I think. Geesh. I have no idea.

Very nice! I love the hosta. I'm hoping to do a little gardening in the back yard and will FINALLY have some shade.

My peonies are getting ready to bloom out front. I'll post a picture when they do. So exciting!
