Bloomin' Tuesday

Spring has finally arrived at the foot of the Rocky Mountains! This last weekend the forecast was for 16 inches of snow in our hometown. Fortunately, spring snowstorms in Colorado are notoriously difficult to predict and we ended up getting just a smattering of snow and three days of rain. Yippee. That rain and the 70 degree weather they are predicting this week should green things up nicely!

Today I am featuring tulips for my Bloomin' Tuesday post. Our neighbor's garden across the street puts on quite a show in the springtime. They have planted hundreds of tulips in their front yard and those of us who live close by are the lucky recipients of their hard work. Here's a sampling of the beauty...

And just to keep things interesting they have thrown a few daffodils into the mix...

To enjoy more Bloomin' Tuesday posts, hike on over to Ms. Green Thumb Jean's and have yourself an eyeful!

Borrowed views are my favorites! My neighbors planted some pretty tulips & daffs this past fall. Their bed is right on the edge of my property & I enjoy it everytime I go outside. :)

That must be quite a sight! I'm always amazed that there are folks that dedicated to planting that many bulbs for a wonderful--but short lived--display. Good for them!

I love those daffodils with the peachy centers! What are they called?

I just did a little internet research on the daffodils and there are many varieties with the white petals and peach centers. I'm not sure which one it is...

Now this is the way to enjoy tulips! Here they are annuals, so if 'my neighbor' chose to plant such a display, I'd be pretty pleased!

What a beautiful display! My tulips haven't bloomed yet. I was worried that you got all the snow. I'm excited to see spring in your yard after 70 degree temps. Jean
