Suggestions Needed...

I've been preoccupied this last week with a bathroom redo. Our half bath off our main floor living area has gone through a major overhaul.  Here's what it looked like last Monday. "Before photos" are always so revealing and embarrassing, don't you think? {That's a rhetorical question -- no need to answer and wholeheartedly agree.}

Because we loved the results of our master bath redo, we chose much of the same elements to use in this powder room redo.Within a few hours on the first day the room was gutted and it became a blank canvas -- ready to be repainted.

With two new coats of ceiling and wall paint, she was as good as new. I used white for the ceiling and Behr Ultra in "Plateau" for the walls. I love this "Plateau" color for the walls. It's such a great neutral color  -- so warm and inviting. The cabinetry was then installed, so the subflooring could be cut and the tile laid.

The marble tile came next. I chose a "brickwork" pattern for the layout -- so pretty with this particular tile.

Everything else was installed in less than a day...

This is where you come in...
 I'm trying to decide what accent color(s) I want to bring into the room.
Below are a couple of up-close photos to give you a better idea of colors...

Any suggestions?

I love yellow in a bathroom, maybe mustard? Though I seem a little obsessed with that colour right now. I just think yellow is perfect to wake you up in the morning. Love the changes, looks really open and light.

Aqua,brown and green are a popular combination right now that would be a nice accent in here I think. A very small lamp in the corner by your basin would really be cute.
How fun to have a reason to go buy new accents and dress up a room. Good luck!

Beautiful revamp. Your vanity top is similar to my kitchen tops where I have used red as my main accent colour along with white (for crispness) and a little hint of olive green. My walls are nuetral as well. I love it and that is the secret - put your favourite colours in, or ones that make you smile, and you will love it.

A pretty shade of grey might work? Hmmm, I'm sure whatever you pick will end up looking like a million bucks! Can't wait to see the completed after photo.

How about a very soft coral color. Not too orange and not too pastel. :)

I agree with Lisa that the most important thing is to put your favorite colors in there. Make it a place that makes you happy. I think it was smart that you made the bathroom so neutral, but that neutrality also makes me crave something bold. I like the idea of a red like Lisa said or a deep/navy blue. I know it is a half bath but here is a link to a shower curtain with a color I'd recommend.

The first color that came to my mind was green, perhaps olive that already has been mention but I can also imagine some lime. A hint of pink or fuchsia could do the trick together with the green....
I must say your powder room turned out great, and considering all the other glimpses you shared from your home, I'm convinced you'll come up with the perfect colors for it :)
