Double -Dipper Six Hour Give -Away

{Sorry, but this contest is now closed.}

Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!

The other day when my Manfred Tooth Pillow was chosen by Amanda to be in the running at Today's Top 20 "Top Project of the Month", I hoped to get a few votes for quirky ol' Manfred. I quickly sent an email out to my family. I can always count on them to cast a vote or two, and then I added a little disclaimer to my readers in a couple of my posts to {please} head on over and throw a vote my way.  And many of you did. I truly appreciate those who voted and all the sweet comments, emails and support I get from my blogging friends on a daily basis. I am saving gobs of money that potentially could be spent babbling to therapists because you reinforce my positive self-image on a daily basis. (My husband is appreciative as well.)

 {My Little Chickadee Tote}

Here's how I'm going to prove my appreciation! For the next six hours I will host a Double-Dipper Give Away from my Etsy shop. The winner will be able to choose any item -- that's right -- any item from my shop for a mother or woman of her choice. It can be her own mother, a mother figure in her life, a sister, a friend, etc. But that's not all. Once the winner has chosen something for that special someone, she can also pick an item for herself! That's what I call a Double-Dipper Give-Away!

{Pink & Chocolate Wristlet}

Here are the specifics of the contest...
  • Make a comment below and your name will be submitted into the contest.
  • In your comment, please mention the first name of the person and your relationship to the intended recipient should you win the drawing. Also, please give us a little insight as to why you admire this person.
  • The winner and chosen recipient must live in the continental U.S. or Canada. (I will provide postage.)
  • Although each contestant can only nominate one person, the same person can be nominated more than once.
  • No anonymous comments. Please leave an email address or blog that I can visit. Private bloggers must leave their email address. If I don't have any way to contact you, your name will not be eligible.

{Darling Damask Dwipe}

This contest will run for just six hours -- until 12 noon (mountain time) on Wednesday, May 4th (that's today!) -- so those seeing this post will have a better-than-average chance of winning. I will announce the winner of the contest about two hours later. If I am able to contact the winner within the hour, I should be able to mail the item(s) today. Hopefully they will arrive before Mother's Day!

Good luck to all!

The one person I admire oh so much is my mom. The things she sacrificed for her children are unimaginable. Now that I'm a new mom, I realize that the things she gave up were not easy. I can only hope that I'll become a great mom like her one day. I can only hope :)

Suzanne this is such a sweet way to say "Thanks"! I missed the voting...opps. :( (I usually stop by your blog everyday to see whats new.) I do want to comment on a special woman in my life. My Mom, her name is Barbara. She is 72 and still gives so much of her time and talents to our whole family. She still makes quilts for all the GREAT grandbabies that are being born. She has 28 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren!! Not only is she very talented in so many areas but she is also a wonderful example to me of unselfish love and sevice to her husband and family. Even if our name isn't chosen, I am glad to write about my sweet mom! Thanks!! our10kids@cox.net

I would so love to win something for my Mom, Harriet. She is in her 70's and runs circles around me! She is always doing something for others and never thinks about herself. My parents live in a retirement community, and my Mom is always baking goodies for her neighbors, or taking over meals when someone is sick or out of the hospital. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know, and I am so proud to be her daughter. Thanks for this lovely giveaway.

What a great giveaway!! I would love to win for my best friend Rachel. She has been through so much to try to have a child of her own with no success, but has treated my daughter as her own with only a love that a mother could have for a child. Not only am I blessed to have such a beautiful friend but my daughter is blessed to have someone else that loves her as much as I do.

Hands down I would pick my mama. She is my hero. Since my dad was diagnosed with cancer, she's had to give up all her hobbies and go back to work teaching first grade. Over Christmas break she had open heart surgery to repair a heart valve. Despite so many problems, she continues to get things done and take care of my dad. I would be thrilled to pick one of your lovely creations for her. Thank you.

Ok! I forgot to put my Mother in laws name down the first time around. hehe ;) My pick would be my mother in law Marsha Flint. She is a selfless and giving mother, grandmother and neighbor. She takes care of everybody else, but doesn't spend time or money on herself, and I would LOVE to be able to do this for her. Thank you also for being so generous in your giveaway!! My mom, Michelle, is the most amazing quilter I know! She taught me to sew and gave me an eye for creating and combining fabrics. She stayed home with us kids while we were growing up and inspired me to make that choice for my own family. She serves others tirelessly and is, in my opinion, the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. How thoughtful and generous! We love to recognize those under-appreciated moms. I know so many who are deserving (my own included) but the mom I want to honor is my friend Christie. She has a 22-month son and comes up with the best recipes, projects and activities for him. She is a mentor to me and my 15-month son and is now pregnant with baby #2 after a couple failed IVF attempts. She loves kiddos and just wants to be a Mommy to however many the good Lord blesses her with. Happy Mother's Day to all!
