I lied...

I lied. You know how earlier I led you all to believe I was going to have a little vacation this week? I had mentioned that I was going to spend my days dabbling my feet in the pool, working out in the gym, reading a good book, watching a little TV, eating a little better and a little more... Well, I tried it for a good 30 minutes, got bored, and decided to do a little sewing instead. Ladies, some people are blessed with the gift of relaxing and others are not. I go stir crazy if I have to lay around and "relax" for more than a half hour. You know those advertisements on TV that educate us about "restless leg syndrome?" Well, I have "restless body syndrome." I feel best when I'm busy. Don't feel too sorry for me though, because this little malady came in very handy when we were raising our seven kids. During that time, I never had the opportunity to rest, so, trust me, it has served me well. Anyway, instead of doing all those things I had planned, I sewed. Yup, I had my own little sweat shop set up in our local Marriott. That's me in the picture -- second from the left -- the one still working while all the others are taking a well-deserved break.

Holed up in a hotel with a sewing machine (and paintbrushes)...sounds heavenly to me! Glad that you were able to use your time wisely! I would do the same.

I love the fabrics! I also love that you are not big into relaxing, that just makes me feel better about doing it for the both of us ;)

I wish I had some of that energy.

I wish I knew your secret. I wish I could not relax sometimes. With only a 2 month old to take care of I think all I do is relax. (except at night, when I feel all I do is work :))

I love them all... I think the green on (2nd from left) and the brown background with flowers and blue bottom (4th from left) are my most favorites!
