Fabulous Feature & a Give Away!

Today I'm please to introduce Dana from "The Freckled Pear" Etsy shop...

Her creations are unique and adorable. I'm sure you'll want to check them out and sign up for this fabulous Give Away...

Hi, I’m Dana! To say that I love sewing is an understatement. I pretty much sew everyday. My family, who patiently puts up with the constant “hum” of my sewing machine, will vouch for that. Recently becoming a Gammy sparked my enthusiasm for making things for my grandkids, which led to sewing for some children’s boutiques and my Etsy shop, "The Freckled Pear", which specializes in handmade creations for babies and kids.

One of the aspects of these latest ventures I enjoy the most is the design process. It was a natural step to want to get into pattern design. And now I hope to share and facilitate the sewing and creation process for others with my patterns.

**********

My "Girl's Apron Pattern" includes four size ranges to fit girls ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10.

Whether you make the apron for your own little helper, your grand-daughter or for a unique gift idea, this apron, handmade with love, is a great way for that special girl to look adorable {and stay clean} while baking up a batch of cookies.

**********

I've always loved the story of The Princess and the Pea, which was the inspiration for my "Patchwork Princess" set of three pillow patterns...

These coordinating pillows are a fun way to add a splash of color and enchantment to a little girl's room. The pattern is available in digital format and includes detailed instructions and templates for all the applique designs.

**********

My "Bon Voyage Baby Quilt" pattern has everything a girl needs for a trip to Paris. The quilt is a mix of whimsical appliqued blocks with just a touch of embroidery in an easy to assemble quilt. It's perfect to use in a crib or while snuggling up to read a book together...

I hope you've enjoyed seeing some of my creations. Feel free to stop by my Etsy shop often. I love coming up with new ideas and updating the shop with my latest projects.
- Dana

Aren't Dana's creations adorable?

I love the whimsical detail on each creation. I'm fairly certain I'll be using that apron pattern for Christmas presents for my adorable grand-daughters this year!

Now, let's get down to business...
Here's how to sign up for the chance to win
one of Dana's fabulous patterns from "The Freckled Pear."
  •  First go to "The Freckled Pear" Etsy shop, browse the aisles and decide which pattern you would like should you win this Give Away! {This Give Away is for patterns only, not ready-made products.}
  • Then, come back to my blog and leave a comment stating which pattern makes your heart skip a beat.
  • Make sure we have a way to get in touch with you. {If you don't have a public blog, then leave your email address.}
This contest will run through Saturday, July 27th.

On Monday morning, July 29th,
three winners
will be announced.

Good Luck!

The Princess Pillows patterns. Because I sew for the children's hospital it jumped out at me. The little girls would be so happy. I might even put a pocket on the back to hold a small princess doll or some finger puppets!
