Bloomin' Tuesday...

Our cherry tree is a mass producer. This year she's running a little late. Usually the fruit is ready to be picked on the 4th of July.

This year, if my guess is right, the fruit will be ripe a week later.

I see cherry pies, cherry jam and cherry cobbler in our future.

How did you avoid birds eating EVERY.SINGLE.ONE? My neighbor's cheriries got eaten before they even got ripe

Anne,
We had that same problem (birds eating all the cherries) the first five years or so after we planted it. We haven't had the problem since the tree got much bigger -- probably because there are more cherries than even the birds can eat! ;o)
