Sold - Bunnies & Chicks

This beautiful fabric is designed by Anna Griffin for Windham Fabrics. It's found in their"Hannah Collection" and I think the whole collection is so beautiful! "Bunnies and Chicks" has all the usual bells and whistles, except it doesn't have a link attached. I'm having a hard time finding pastel links and if I can't find one that matches and looks good, then I won't attach one. I'm like that. Very matchy-matchy. Can't help it. It's just the way I am. Anyway, this one is darling without it so I'm not going to apologize. ;o)

To find out more about my Dwipes simply read the Dwipe information on my sidebar. This little ditty is $15 which includes shipping to the continental U.S. Please send me an email if you are interested in buying this Dwipe.

Froggie Rattle with Little Blossom Dwipe

A few weeks ago Julie ordered a Little Blossom Dwipe from me and I sent it right off. Yesterday she sent these photos of what she had added to the Dwipe. She bought the little froggie rattle, which came with the pastel pink link and attached it to the Dwipe. Then she purchased this adorable pink wipes case and put it inside. All were purchased at Toys R Us! So cute. Those adorable additions to the Dwipe got me excited enough, but here's the best part...

Julie told me that she purchased this for her little granddaughter who is due mid September. Her granddaughter happens to be due on the very SAME DAY that my little granddaughter is due! Wow. I love those little "coincidences" that visit us every now and then!

SOLD - "Dino" Dwipe"

Today I made a fun and practical addition to my Dwipe! I never much liked changing my children in public, but, let's face it, it is a necessity that we can't avoid. When I laid my child down on the public changing table, I wanted to change him as quickly as possible. If I had something he could play with while I changed him I was home free ... It would take half the time if he was a little preoccupied! Hence ... the Dwipe with entertainment included! Look closely at the photo below and you'll see a little tab attached to the top flap of the Dwipe. With that tab you can use a baby link to attach more links, a teething ring, a rattle, a set of baby keys, etc. After pulling out the diaper and wipes, you can hand the Dwipe to the baby and he can play with a toy while his diaper is being changed.
This Dino Dwipe is fully lined and interfaced. It has a boxed corner at the bottom to allow room for the storage of diapers and wipes. Attached to this Dwipe will be one baby link. (FYI: Diapers and Wet Wipes are not included.) Included in the price is the cost of shipping to the continental U.S. & Canada. You may also purchase a Dwipe pattern with complete instructions for $5. However, this pattern is only available with the purchase of the Dwipe for $15. The pattern will enable you to make as many Dwipes as you would like. With the Dwipe in hand and the detailed instructions, even the most basic sewers should be able to crank out a Dwipe! If you're interested in purchasing this Dwipe please email me at the email address on my sidebar!

BOTH SOLD - Dwipes Mini-Totes, $15

Hey Ladies! You've convinced me! I'm going to start selling my Hang-Ups (totes) and Dwipes (diaper + wipes mini-totes). I've tried to figure out how to do this and decided on the following approach. Each time I make a Hang-Up or Dwipe to sell, I will post the photo of the item on this blog along with the price. If you are interested, just leave me a comment and then send me an email. (My email address is listed in the right hand column.) We'll work out the exchanges at that time.

Today I have two Dwipes to sell. They are shown below. These Dwipes are fully lined and interfaced. They have a boxed corner at the bottom to allow room for the storage of diapers and wipes. If you are interested please specify "flower" or "dots." I'm pricing them at $15 each, which includes shipping. (FYI: Diapers and Wet Wipes are not included.) I have also decided to sell the pattern for the Dwipes, which includes the detailed instructions below, for $5. However, this pattern is only available with a purchase of a Dwipe for $15. That way you can make as many as you would like for shower gifts, etc. I think with the Dwipe in hand and the detailed instructions, even the most basic sewers could crank them out! Remember, I'm only going to sell the pattern to those who buy a tote, though. (Yup, I know that's disgusting.)Thanks, ladies! You have been so encouraging. I'm going to try to crank a tote out this afternoon. It's going to be made from a batik fabric that is so amazing.

Dwipes (Diaper + Wipes) Mini-Tote

A few weeks ago I was talking with my daughter-in-law, Andi, and she mentioned her desire to start making some Dwipes Mini-Totes. (I have no idea what they are really called -- "Dwipes" is just a name I came up with to save myself from saying "Diaper & Wipes"!) These are apparently quite popular among young mothers. It is a small tote that one can store a small case of wet wipes and a couple of diapers in. This mini-tote can then be thrown in a glove compartment, purse, or diaper bag and you're ready to go. It especially comes in handy when you have more than one child in diapers of different sizes, because you can have two different mini-totes of different fabrics -- one for each child -- so you can grab the correct diaper at a glance. Carrying this type of tote in your hands to a restroom might be a little more subtle than a soggy child, package of wet-wipes, and a clean diaper! I offered to try to come up with a pattern and see if I could whip one up. Well, today I finally had the time to do just that! Here's what I came up with...mind you this is the first attempt.
